Like you, we are stretched for time, even more so it seems when we are in stay-at-home mode! We were delighted to read several articles (BHG, Good Housekeeping) that talked about ways we can find time to get everything done and still find time to take a breather, or simply just relax. The solution: on-demand companies that can help you attain more balance. And, this is one thing COVID has improved. By outsourcing even three simple tasks – grocery shopping, pet care, and laundry – you can focus on the big picture (i.e. quality time with family and friends, fun, and me-time, etc.). Here are the recommendations we tested.
1. Grocery Shopping
There are many companies serving this space. Today, most if not all groceries now have arrangements with one of these or their own service. Here are three companies we tried. All had pros and cons, but all came through. Be careful to check prices. We found that the actual shelf price in the store was always less than when we used a company to deliver – any company.

2. Pet Care
Working at home and keeping your pet entertained, fed, groomed, walked, and out of your conference calls taught us one thing. Outsourcing pet care is not only a benefit but it helps other, small businesses. From dog walking to daycare to pet sitting, there is a service to meet your needs., whether you need a weekend away, alone time, or want your precious pets to have some time with furry friends. Between us and our friends, we’ve tried all of these but Dioji is our favorite.

3. Laundry Care
Quite a few companies and services have sprouted up in this area. Here’s what to look for before you choose.
- Companies that do the laundry processing at their own facility.
- Organizations that use toxin-free and eco-friendly services.
- A specialist who also offers pickup and delivery.
You guessed it, there’s only one favorite in this category, Flair Cleaners. Learn more on our website.
